Sun Chemical, a US-based supplier of cosmetic pigments, will introduce 13 new colour effects from its Performance Pigments’ portfolio at the next in-cosmetics Brasil tradeshow, which will open its doors on September 30-October 1, 2015 in São Paulo’s Expo Center Norte.

Pearlescent Pigments

Sun Chemical will launch 10 new colours added to its SunSHINE line of pure synthetic mica-based pearlescent pigments. The ten new pigment colours range from silver and gold metallic effects to bright, sparkling accents in green and blue.

According to Sun Chemical, pigments from the SunSHINE line provide “some of the lowest residual heavy metals levels available in the market, and their transparency, luster, chroma, broad range of particles sizes, and smoothness make them ideally suited for use in all finished product formulations.

Organic colorants

In addition, Sun Chemical will also launch three new shades - Poppy Red, Hyacinth Blue, and Sunflower - to its INTENZA portfolio of FDA certified organic colorants with an alumina substrate. The line already includes a series of pearlescent tones, including: Razzled Rose, Haute Pink, Electric Coral, Magentitude, Plush Plum, and Amethyst Force. “These pigments are free of additives and preservatives with heavy metal specifications that surpass global regulatory requirements,” claims Sun Chemical.

Cosmetic consumers want more choices in their make-up. They especially want more color choices and dazzling effects,” explains Kelly Dobos, Cosmetics Technical Manager at Sun Chemical Performance Pigments. “That’s what Sun Chemical will showcase at in-cosmetics Brasil - eye popping colours that are sure to please consumers and meet the highest purity standards and specifications of all global regulations in the market, as required by cosmetic formulators.

Sun Chemical’s range of new pigments will be visible in Cosmotec International’s stand #J40 located in the Blue Pavilion of São Paulo’s Expo Center Norte.
