La Roche-Posay launches antioxidant body moisturizer with high sun protection factor

Focusing on the convenience of multifunctional cosmetics, L’Oréal’s dermocosmetics brand, La Roche-Posay, has recently launched its Lipikar AOX Cream in Brazil, a body moisturizer for daily use with antioxidant properties and SPF 60.

Its blend of ingredients claims to offer multiple benefits in one single product. It contains lipid-replenishing shea butter to intensify the moisturizing activity, niacinamide’s soothing properties, carnosine as an antioxidant and anti-glycant ingredient, vitamin E and thermal spring water to boost antioxidant levels and SPF 60 to filter out harmful UVB rays and short and long UVA rays.

According to La Roche-Posay, Lipikar AOX Cream is hypoallergenic and has light texture and a refreshing feel. It offers easy absorption and intense skin hydration for up to 48 hours. It also prevents against oxidative damage caused by environmental aggressors such as UV radiation, pollution and climate variations.

The Lipikar AOX Cream formula was developed exclusively for Brazilian consumers. General Manager at La Roche-Posay in Brasil, Valerio Gargiulo, said the brand discovered that Brazilian consumers are becoming more aware of the importance of using quality products to care for their face, but often rely on standard moisturizing products for their body.

Lipikar AOX Cream is recommended for use on cleansed skin and applied over the entire body through gentle massage, in the morning and at night. In case of sun exposure, the product needs to be reapplied after intense perspiration or when necessary. The recommended retail price for the 200ml tube is R$79.90.

The Lipikar line has three other products: Lipikar Surgras (concentrated anti-dryness shower cream), Lipikar Baume AP+ (anti-scratching lipid-replenishing balm) and Lipikar Body Milk (daily moisturizer for normal to dry skin with ultra light texture).
