FCE Pharma and FCE Cosmetique postponed for the second half of 2020

Faced with the spread of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) in Brazil, the FCE Pharma and FCE Cosmetique trade shows have been postponed for the first half of October 2020.

NürnbergMesse Brasil, the organizer of Brazil’s main B2C events for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, said the shift was made to “protect the safety of the participants and, more than that, to guarantee the quality of the exhibition once the pandemic is over.” According to health experts, April should be the month with the highest number of cases, and the virus should be contained only at the end of July.

For this reason, FCE Pharma and FCE Cosmetique have been rescheduled for October 8-10, 2020.

Although difficult, we believe that this was the best and most prudent decision, in order to protect the integrity, safety and health of our participants and employees. In a context of uncertainty, with people avoiding leaving home, keeping the June date would be irresponsible on our part. It is also worth mentioning that June is winter, a period with the greatest spread of viruses and diseases, such as COVID-19”, explains João Paulo Picolo, CEO of the German company.

Brazil’s FCE Pharma and FCE Cosmetique trade shows have been postponed in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak which also hit the country; the events have already been rescheduled for October 8 to 10, 2020.

According to NürnbergMesse, the main attractions of the events will be maintained despite the change of dates and should gain “even more strength”, such as the new WNTC Forum on Medical Cannabis at FCE Pharma and the Innovation Center, an area within FCE Cosmetique dedicated to lectures and presentations of raw material solutions.

The postponement of events demonstrates our commitment as the business platform the market needs, now more than ever. NürnbergMesse Brasil negotiated tirelessly to maintain the events this year and prevent the market from running out of a business and networking platform that involve the entire cosmetic and pharmaceutical production chain”, says the company. "The new date will be a great opportunity to promote business already looking forward growth for 2021", adds Picolo.
