Brazilian cosmetics brands want to conquer the US market

The Brazilian cosmetics industry participated at Cosmoprof North America - Las Vegas, an important B2B trade show for the region. Thirteen Brazilian companies participated in the fair and made 371 contacts, resulting in US$ 685,000 in business during the event. "For the next 12 months, about US$ 6.2 million in exports are expected to be generated," said the Brazilian Agency for Export and Investment Promotion (Apex-Brazil).

The event took place on 12-14 July in Las Vegas and the list of Brazilian exhibitors included: Best Bronze, Bionat, Brazilian Oils, Brazilian Hair Secrets, De Sírius, Embelleze, Goz Cosméticos, Itallian Hairtech, Mundial - Impala, Nunaat, Prolab , Sweet Hair and Vidal Life.

"We participated for the second consecutive year in Cosmoprof North America and we are pleased, above all, with the quality of visitors. Our expectations have been overcome once again. We hope to close several deals since our goal was to connect with distributors," said Mauricio Amim from Bionat Cosmetics.

As far as Goz Cosméticos Brasil is concerned, the event marked the launch of the brand in the US market. "We were able to present our brand not just for this market but also to Latin and Caribbean countries, which exceeded our forecasts," said Leandro Tavitian, president of the company.

"The support of the Trade Commission of the General Consulate of Brazil in Los Angeles was key to guide companies through local market consumption habits and support their participation within the Brazilian pavilion," said Gueisa Silveiro, the Beautycare Brazil manager.
