Aptar Beauty + Home launches internationally renowned packaging in Brazil

The US packaging manufacturer Aptar has just launched its new packaging in the Brazilian beauty and personal care market. The star of the new packaging project is the dual aerosol trigger accessory Runway, winner of the 2014 British Aerosol Manufacturers’ Association (BAMA) award and the Pack the Future award, given to products that are recognized for their innovative, effective and sustainable packaging.

The aerosol allows for two product dispensing options. The first is a vertical application ideal for short and precise jets, while the prolonged trigger is ideal for longer application time. The packaging can be used for various product types including sunscreens, body lotions and hair sprays.

Runway was developed for maximum ease of use and reduced finger fatigue. Featuring dual spray action, the package has improved dispensing control and utilizes Aptar’s Bag-On-Valve (BoV) technology, which offers even more protection for sensitive formulas.

Another packaging innovation recently introduced in Brazil is the Beauty Twist cap, with twist-to-lock spiral closures. According to Aptar Beauty + Home, other packaging which feature basic fasteners do not guarantee fast, practical and safe product application and are among the biggest concerns of consumers in different industries. The Beauty Twist cap allows users to open and close the packaging with only one hand, and with a single movement, to completely lock the dispensing latch.

With a distinctive design that separates this system from other closure systems on the market, Beauty Twist can be used for a large range of skin and body care products, dermocosmetics, makeup and sunscreens.

Aptar Beauty + Home claims that manufacturers will benefit from an affordable, fully integrated package of exceptional appearance, that will add value to the final product and facilitate personalization of the packaging to suit the companies’ design requirements. Consumers will be attracted by the visual appeal of the packaging, as well as the ease of use and handling.

Beauty trends: Green, clean… what’s next?

It is definitely a huge wave. To be desirable, a product should be green, clean, and cool – and preferably the Indie and DNVB [1] way. Green, because naturalness has become “a basic”. Clean, because products are required to be free from any polluting or suspicious substance. Cool, because they should offer the “special Millennial” (...)
