3D printing: Albéa partners with Erpro

Albéa, the world’s leading beauty packaging supplier, and the leading 3D technology innovation start-up Erpro 3D Factory have entered into a partnership to offer industrial series of fully-personalized cosmetic packaging solutions, in yet-unseen creative shapes.

Recently, Erpro 3D Factory’s technology was used by Chanel to produce industrial series of innovative mascara brushes in shapes that traditional injection moulding does not allow.

According to Albéa, this technology - complementary to the other processes used by the group - will allow to create exclusive collections and industrial series, including as well as last-minute personalization (combining colours and textures) and innovative shapes at an industrial scale, typically for colour cosmetics packaging, for fragrance caps, skincare jars and more…

The value proposition of this new design and industrialization offering rests on customization and differentiation, which are two key drivers of the beauty market. It combines limitless creativity to invent blue-sky shapes, extremely small runs as well as industrial series, and speed to market,” said Étienne Brière, Innovation Manager of Albéa.

While consumers are demanding ever-more personalized and innovative products, this partnership allows Albéa to strengthen its range of solutions for the creation of unique beauty packaging.

The production line we have developed allows for great flexibility and amazing creativity for industrial series,” confirmed Cyrille Vue, CEO, Erpro 3D Factory in a release.
