WestRock achieves ISO 22716 certification

WestRock, a leading global provider of paper and packaging solutions formed after the merger between MWV and RockTenn, has announced its Brazilian factory recently achieved ISO 22716 certification. The international standard provides guidelines regarding the of control good manufacturing practices (GMP), storage and distribution of products in the cosmetics industry.

According to Eduardo Scalese, General Director of the Home, Health and Beauty (HH&B) Business of WestRock in Brazil, the achievement of the ISO 22716 certification confirms excellence as one of the company’s core values. "WestRock develops customized, flexible and innovative, high-impact projects in dispensing valves and sprays, serving important customers in the Home, Health and Beauty markets. With the certification, we meet the global demand from major market players," he said.

The ISO 22716 standard gives guidelines for the production, control, storage and shipment of cosmetic products. These guidelines provide with practical methods for managing the many factors that can affect product quality.
