Topshop’s first foray into foundation

Already known for its nail polishes, its lipsticks and even its freckle pencil, Topshop is expanding its beauty range this fall with a new line of face makeup. Simply called "The Face," the new line promises to deliver natural-looking, flawless skin.

At the centre of the new collection is The Foundation, a high-coverage liquid foundation with pigments that adapt to the wearer’s skin tone.

But to deliver everything needed for a truly flawless face, the brand is also launching a few base layers. The new Airbrush Primer, which contains reflective particles that help to blur imperfections, can be worn on its own or under foundation. Next there is the Colour Correcting Primer, which helps to shrink dilated pores, prevent shine and fight redness, providing the perfect base for makeup.

Last but not least, because no one is perfect, the new line also includes The Concealer, a universal liquid concealer that can be used to hide under eye circles or blemishes, and the Concealer Palette, a set of more specialized concealers to specifically target under eye circles, redness and irregular colouring.

The Face by Topshop Beauty goes on sale from September at, at Selfridges Oxford Street and in select Topshop and John Lewis stores in the UK.
