The Boticario Group was the biggest winner of two important awards for the Brazilian cosmetic industry

Two awards, ten titles won. The Boticario Group, which gathers brands O Boticário, Eudora, The Beauty Box and quem disse, berenice?, was the big winner in two major competitions of the Brazilian beauty industry: Prêmio ABIHPEC – Beleza Brazil (ABIHPEC Awards – Beauty Brazil) and Prêmio Atualidade Cosmética (Atualidade Cosmetica Awards), both taking place in early November, in Sao Paulo.

In its second year, the awards organized by the Brazilian Association of the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Industry (ABIHPEC) awarded O Boticário as “Company of the Year”. The selection was made by an international jury composed of journalists, academics and business leaders who acclaimed the strategy that establishment the Group in the state of Bahia, with the opening of a local factory and distribution center, as well as an action plan for the development of the region and its local community.

The ABIHPEC Awards, which acknowledges quality business practices and innovation in the beauty industry, has also awarded O Boticário in three other categories: “Makeup”, to the Autumn/Winter limited-edition range Make B. Barroco Tropical; “Women’s Fragrance of the Year” to Lady Lily, exclusively created for Mother’s Day; and “Men’s Fragrance of the Year” to Malbec Absoluto, launched to celebrate International Men’s Day, on July 15th.

In the traditional Atualidade Cosmetica Awards, which is in its 22th year, the Boticario Group won in six categories, including "Professional of the Year", given to the chief operating officer Giuseppe Musella.

The O Boticário division received three awards – “Makeup Collection” to Make B. Barroco Tropical; “Kids’ Range” to Portinari Pipas, inspired by Candido Portinari’s painting Pipas, from 1941; and the “Aparício Basilio da Silva Trophy – Men’s Latin American Fragrance Creation”, to Portinari Memórias, developed by IFF’s Francisco Marano and Rafael Marano.

The Eudora brand was a winner in two other categories – “Makeup Innovation” to its Precious Pallete baked makeup kit, awarded for its high-performance and long-lasting formula; and “Latin American Men’s Fragrance of the Year” to its eau de cologne Trip Itacare, created for “men with a spirit of adventure”.
