The 2nd edition of in-cosmetics Brazil received 30% more visitors than last year

Held for the second time in the Sao Paulo, the in-cosmetics Brazil tradeshow, the only event in Latin America exclusively dedicated to raw materials for toiletries, perfumes and cosmetics, took place in on September 30 and 01 October 2015 in the Blue Pavilion of Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo. From 2016 in-cosmetics Brazil will change name to in-cosmetics Latin America.

According to the organizers, the event received 2815 unique visitors, an increase of 30% compared to last year, of which 320 were international, from countries such as Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Venezuela, United States, among others. The number of foreign visitors increased by 40% compared to the 2014 event. Eventually, 46% of the visitors were cosmetics manufacturers.

According to Daniel Zanetti, show manager of in-cosmetics Brazil, at the end of the 2nd day of the show, the area already booked for 2016 was already superior to the size of this year’s event. "We are delighted with the outcome of in-cosmetics Brazil in 2015, the fact that 46% of visitors were cosmetics manufacturers proves the high qualification of the public visiting the show, moreover, finishing the event with bookings exceeding the 2015 area proves us that we are on right way," he said.

One of the novelties of in-cosmetics Brazil this year was the launch of the ITEHPEC Innovation Award in order to honour ingredients manufacturers that contribute to increasing the competitiveness of the Brazilian personal care industry, through the implementation of innovative projects. The ITEHPEC (Institute of Technology and Studies on Toiletries, Perfumery and Cosmetics) is the innovation and technology arm of ABIHPEC (the Brazilian Association of Toiletries, Perfumes & Cosmetics Industry). João Carlos Basilio, president of ABIHPEC, announced the award to representatives of the winning companies: BASF (1st place), Chemyunion (2nd place), and Induchem Companies (3rd place).

One of the highlights of this year’s event was the exclusive educational content, which featured more than 40 hours of seminars, divided between Workshop, Innovation Seminars, and Marketing Trends.

"We are already heading to the 3rd edition in 2016 and expect a strong growth driven by the positive response we received from exhibitors and visitors. As we had a large share of international exhibitors, 65%, and a very significant increase in the number of visitors from outside Brazil, from 2016 in-cosmetics Brazil will be called in-cosmetics Latin America. The outcome of the event justifies we change the name, as it reflects the extent the show has reached, and is a reflection of our operations throughout Latin America,” concludes Lucy Gillam, Group Director of in-cosmetics.
