Swarovski invites the fragrance industry at a workshop about customization of packaging and bottles

The Swarovski Professional, division responsible for the sale of crystals to various industry segments, brought together on June 14, in partnership with fragrance specialist Renata Ashcar, representatives from 15 companies of the fragrance segment for a workshop about the customization of fragrance packaging and market trends. A small customisation studio as created on this occasion. The companies Aptar, Wheaton Brasil, SGD, Decoridea, Premier Packing, Kopienhaus, Du Pont, Incom, Antilhas, Scentec and FAV105 contributed to the event with the parts and fragrances to be customized.

Renata Rizzi, Swarovski Marketing, opened the meeting talking about new consumer behaviour and market trends, design inspirations and presented the Summer 2017 collection of Swarovski crystals. "The inspiration was based on the four elements of nature - air, water, fire and earth - which translates a reconnection with the interior of each, as a form of escapism urbanization, speed and rapid industrialization that we live in today," she explained.

The executive also talked about the use of crystals in the international perfumer industry and about their bet in the Brazilian operation in this segment. "We see a great potential in customization of fragrance packaging, because Brazil is the largest consumer market in the world in this segment", says Renata.

Yves Saint Laurent, Vera Wang, Givenchy, Azzaro, Michael Kors, Lancome, Dior, Nina Ricci, MAC, Benefit and O Boticário are some of the brands that have used Swarovski crystals to customize packaging products.

Perfume specialist Renata Ashcar, was responsible for the event organization and as a panellist she talked about trends and consumer habits in the fragrance industry. "In Brazil we are going on a luxury democratization process, including the fragrance market. Customization should come as a trend in a short future,” she said. She also spoke about the new retail channels that are highlighting in the sale of fragrances, such as large fashion retailers.

After the talk, the guests joined a customization workshop where they were able to decorate perfume bottles using Swarovski crystals.
