quantiQ creates 100% natural gum soap with an ecofriendly formula

Markets in Europe, Asia and North America have been experiencing a growing demand for natural and ecofriendly products as consumers have acknowledged their efficiency, carefully made formulations and reduced impact on the environment.

Brazilian chemical products distributor quantiQ has recently launched what it calls the Ice Cube Soap (local name “Sabonete em Goma Refrescante”). The product is Ecocert certified and completely free of synthetic substances. It was developed by the company’s¬ laboratory using a seaweed sourced gum base as a thickener. The Ice Cube Soap can be adapted to suit the needs of each client as it can feature unique textures based on the diversity of natural gums that the company has in its portfolio.

According to quantiQ, it is possible to develop different formulas using this technology such as cleaning foam, body wash, shower gel, more solid textures - as an alternative to bar soaps - and moldable soaps for children, amongst other formats.

The company also claims that the Ice Cube Soap has another benefit – it is free of ingredients that may irritate sensitive skins, such as sulfate, caustic soda, alcohol and parabens. Its natural formulation makes the soap suitable for topical use, children’s cosmetics, plant-based and organic certified products.

Amisoft CS-22 is the cleaning agent used in the formula, which claims to be suflate-free and environmentally friendly. The Frescolat ML active ingredient is responsible for the soap’s refreshing feel.

quantiQ is a company of the Braskem group based in São Paulo and operates in 28 different industries. It has a portfolio of over 1,000 products, including commodities, performance and chemical specialties. The company currently offers solutions for more than 5,000 clients across the different industries.
