L’Oréal Brasil’s headquarters in Rio de Janeiro

L’Oréal Brasil has announced that it will close its Pavuna plant in the northern part of Rio de Janeiro by the end of 2018. According to the French cosmetics group, the decision was made in order to address the need for an operational adjustment within the current Brazilian economic environment.

The group currently operates three manufacturing plants in Brazil: in Pavuna, Rio de Janeiro, another in Nova Iguaçu, in Rio’s suburbs, where the groups manufactures products of the Brazilian cosmetics brand Niely, and another in Vila Jaguará, São Paulo.

The production of the Pavuna unit will be transferred to the Vila Jaguará unit.
