L’Occitane au Brésil taps into the face care category with new Umbu line

For the creation of its first face care line L’Occitane au Brésil has selected Umbu, also known as Brazil plum, a fruit rich in vitamins and minerals. The Franco-Brazilian brand of the L’Occitane Group found in Umbu, a typical fruit of the Brazilian Caatinga, the white forest of northeastern Brazil, the inspiration for the formulation of moisturizing and vitalizing skin care products.

Suitable for all skin types, the “Gel de Limpeza Revigorante”, “Sabonete Facial Revigorante”, “Loção Revigorante 3 em 1”, “Hidratante Cor Revigorante” and “Sérum Revigorante” provide a complete face care routine. “Formulated with extracts of this refreshing fruit, the new product line provides the skin with a feeling of healthiness, it revitalizes the skin that looks full of vitality," said the brand.

In a research conducted during four weeks, 100% of the 32 volunteers said the Sérum moisturizes the skin and 91% said that the skin looks healthy, rested and radiant after using the product.

Graphic designer Celene Godoi and creative director of the L’Occitane Group, Olivier Baussan, sign the visual identity of the line, which hit the brand’s stores and mini-markets in early March. Products’ packs display a look inspired by the rounded shapes of the Umbu fruit.
