Croda launches new surfactant to create high performance facial cleansers

Cithrol 10GTIS, Croda’s latest surfactant for oil-based facial cleansing, can be used to create microemulsion facial cleansers as well as gentle and effective oil cleansers that emulsify on contact with water so they can be easily rinsed from the skin.

These systems are very efficient at removing long wear and waterproof make-up, claims Croda. Indeed, the make-up and dirt are readily dispersed into the oil, then water is applied to the skin and instantly emulsifies. The system is then easily rinsed leaving the skin feeling clean, renewed and soft to the touch. While the benefits of oils to the skin and hair have long been known, oil based products have soared in popularity, driven by the spa experience.

According to Croda, Cithrol 10GTIS is very mild, provides effective emulsification on contact with water and is stable with a wide variety of cosmetic oils.
