Bio Bonté to open new industrial plant in Jaguariuna

Based in Campinas, the company has chosen to expand production capabilities in the neighbouring city of Jaguariuna under fiscal incentives offered by the city council.

Originally opening in 2001 in Campinas, on the outskirts of Sao Paulo, Bio Bonté announced the implementation of if its new industrial plant to be located in Jaguariuna, in the metropolitan region of Campinas. Not only will Bio Bonté benefit from the new location with easy access to main state highways, the main motivation behind the expansion to Jaguariuna was due to tax incentives offered by the city’s administration. Under the Tax Benefit Law, the company will be exempt from property taxes such as IPTU and Habite-se.

According to the Secretariat of Economic Development of Jaguariúna, the objective is to cut through the red tape and attract more companies to the city of 53,000 inhabitants, with the aim of generating new job opportunities and allowing the local workforce to gain further qualifications.

Bio Bonté currently works with three company-owned lines. The flagship line, which bears the same name as the company itself, provides eau de cologne, liquid soap, body oils and body moisturizers. Bio Bonté Spa consists of massage products as well as body scrubs, and lotions and creams for hands, nails, legs and feet. The Colours line focuses on hair care, with shampoo, conditioner, moisturizing mask and leave-in.

The company also works with outsourced cosmetics, developing and manufacturing products for cosmetics clinics and spas, dermatologists and cosmetic surgeons, as well as hotel supplies.

Construction of the Jaguariúna plant is due to commence later this month with the branch expected to be inaugurated within the following year. The amount of the investment has not been disclosed by Bio Bonté.
