BASF focuses on sensory characteristics

At this year’s in-cosmetics, BASF focused on the creation of emotional links between consumers and personal care products. First step for the ingredients supplier: the sensory properties of products.

BASF therefore showcased various products on this theme:
- A natural-based emulsifier
- An active ingredient which inhibits the melanin synthesis in the skin by 90% in vitro and delivers a fast skin brightening action in vivo, significantly better than placebo and three times higher than kojic acid. The active is a synergistic complex of extract from papaya, guava and saxifrage.
- Collrepair DG, an active that reverses the glycation
- A generation of Gold synthetic mica with a pure white gold shade.
