The Brazilian Health Surveillance Agency (Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária, ANVISA) has suspended, on Friday (4th of July), the sale and use of the product "Millenium Ink Tatoo", which is intended for permanent artificial skin pigmentation (tattoo). The product was sold in the Brazilian market without having been registered to the agency.

The ANVISA also suspended the manufacturing, distribution, dissemination, sale and use throughout Brazil of the product "Lisse Cream - Marroquina" as well as all cosmetic products that are identified on the label as being manufactured by Perfect Indústria de Cosméticos. ANVISA found an excessive amount of formaldehyde in the "Lisse Cream" product. Furthermore, the manufacturer did not have the required Enterprise Operating Permit (Autorização de Funcionamento de Empresa - AFE).
