Alessandro Moraes to lead Ashland in Latin America

Ashland, a global leader in specialty chemicals, has announced the appointement of Alessandro Moraes to the position of General Manager and Business Director of the company in Latin America. Moraes took over the post of Esteban von Ehrenstein, who was transferred to Switzerland, where he will be Ashland’s Sales Director for personal care in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Alessandro Moraes holds a degree in industrial engineering from USP, a postgraduate degree in marketing from ESPM and an MBA from the University of Toronto. Moraes has extensive experience in the chemical industry - he has worked for several companies, such as Elf Atochem, Rohm and Haas and most recently Dow.

"Leading Ashland in Latin America is a great honour, especially with the excellent team of professionals of the company and its broad portfolio of solutions for various industries and markets in the region," said Moraes.
